Last August, Ms. Mayeux from Gymnase de Renens in Switzerland reached out to our French department with an exciting proposal for an exchange programme. The enthusiasm was immediate, and the project quickly took shape!

Starting in September, two Grade 9 French classes taught by Ms. Jenner and Ms. Detavernier began their exchange with two Grade 10 classes from Ms. Mayeux’s school in Switzerland. The first step involved creating video introductions, allowing each student to present themselves. Both Namibian and Swiss learners eagerly discovered their correspondents, sparking curiosity and enthusiasm.

Next, the pupils exchanged postcards. We were thrilled to welcome Ms. Mayeux during her vacation in Namibia, creating a heartwarming moment when students received their postcards. They immediately reached out via WhatsApp to connect with their Swiss friends, further strengthening their bond.

We still have several exciting activities planned before the grand meeting in Paris in June 2025!
